With a heavy heart, we announce the unexpected passing of Laura Louise Cotton, née Payne, on May 30th, 2024, at the age of 64. Laura's unexpected departure has left a deep void in the lives of those who knew and cherished her. Born on August 22nd, 1959, in Ontario, CA, Laura was the daughter of Blanche and Chester Payne. She was the youngest of 6 siblings. Her tenacity and straightforward nature were evident from a young age and remained steadfast throughout her life. Laura's pursuits were diverse, reflecting her independent spirit. She found solace and inspiration within the pages of books, reveled in the serenity of the beach, and sought adventure in her travels. Yet, her greatest joy was found in the loving embrace of her granddaughters, whom she adored beyond measure. Laura's legacy is one of strength, resilience, and unwavering loyalty. She is survived by her daughter, Megan Price, and son-in-law, Charles, her granddaughters Everly and Sofia Price, her brother David Payne and sister-in-law Rose, her brother-in-law Robert Presson, and a circle of friends who cared deeply for her. Though Laura's physical presence may be gone, her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who were touched by her kindness, resilience, and love.
