On Saturday August 1 2026, Kurtis Gunvald Froystad, age 72, peacefully left us after being treated for cancer. He was born to Gunvald and Verneal Froystad on April 15 1954 in Milwaukee Wisconsin. Kurt was an accomplished chef and loved cooking and trying new recipes. He was happiest in the kitchen but he also loved trying new restaurants for ideas. He enjoyed travel in his younger years and for fun we would hit the casino every now and then. Kurt is preceded in death by his father, Gunvald. He is survived by his mother Verneal, 2 sisters Chris Mogavero and Jo Hanson, nephew Anthony Borino and his family and niece Rebecca Wherry and her family and far too many cousins to list.
