The story of
Kirk A. Talbott died in his home on April 20th, 2024. He was 42 years old. He was cared for in his last days by his wife, Carie, and two daughters, Sadie and Mackenzie. He was a loyal member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks and a Son of the American Legion. He was an expert at Excel which helped him be a high performer during his "day job" at Tektronix. If you asked him though, he would say he was a Zamboni driver - because he was. He loved driving Zamboni for the Portland Winterhawks hockey team for over 20 years. He was a collector of pocket knives, baseball hats, and friends. He would give you the shirt off of his back and more if he knew you were in need. He attributed many of his good qualities to his parents, John and Candice Talbott, of whom he is survived by. He also leaves behind three brothers, one sister, and multiple brother- and sister-in-laws. He lived to be a fun and caring uncle to his 4 nephews and 2 nieces. He will be forever missed and never forgotten. If you are so compelled, his family would appreciate a donation in memory of Kirk to the "OHSU Foundation for Melanoma Research". Donations can be made online at https://ohsufoundation.org/
