The story of
Ken Cox, age 70, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2026, at 6:15 p.m., surrounded by love. He was called home to be with the Lord and reunited with his father, Lamar Cox. Ken was a devoted father to Courtney and Jeremy, and a proud grandfather to Rachael, Rian, and Jaiden. He was a beloved brother to Steve, Linda, and Cory, and a cherished son to Joy Cox. He is survived by all listed family members with the exception of his father, Lamar Cox, who preceded him in death. For more than 20 years, Ken made his home in Mesquite, Nevada, where he built a life centered around one of his greatest passions, golf. An avid golfer, he found joy, comfort, and lasting friendships on the course. Following a cancer diagnosis, he returned home to be closer to family. Ken fought cancer courageously for two years and remained positive throughout his journey. He met each challenge with strength, grace, and an unwavering outlook that inspired those around him. His faith carried him through, and his family finds comfort in knowing he is now healed and at peace in heaven. Ken will be remembered for his deep love for his family, his steady presence, and the quiet optimism he carried even in the hardest moments. His legacy lives on through his children, grandchildren, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
