Kathy Jewel Hernandez of Peoria, Arizona passed away peacefully in her sleep, after a short hard fought battle with cancer. Kathy was born on August 9, 1957 to Betty Rae and John Valentine McBroom at St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. She was a devoted wife to her husband of 42 years George Hernandez and a dedicated mother to her 3 children, Tina Marie Ramirez, Bobby Junior Ramirez and her youngest Erik Ray Hernandez. She loved to bake cookies for her children and grandchildren at Christmas and hand out candy to the neighborhood children on Halloween which was one of her favorite holidays mostly because she was surrounded by her grandkids. She was an avid reader and loved all things Stephen King. She had recently taken up diamond art and enjoyed sitting by her kitchen window early mornings with a hot cup of coffee and her crafting. Kathy is survived by her husband Jorge, her three children; Tina Ramirez, Bobby Ramirez (Anna Morehead) and Erik Hernandez as well as her grandchildren; Alexsis Gomez, Ava Carbajal and Gavin Hernandez. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents; John Valentine and Betty Rae McBroom.
