Kathleen “Kathy” Zajac (Crockwell) February 29, 1948 – May 15, 2026 Kathleen “Kathy” Zajac (Crockwell), age 78, passed away peacefully at home on May 15, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on February 29, 1948, in North Adams, Kathy was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose warmth touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. She raised her family in New Hampshire then continued creating memories and friendships wherever life took her. Kathy found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved the beach, enjoyed crafts, and treasured every moment spent with her family. Her greatest happiness came from being surrounded by the people she loved most. She is reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, Chet Zajac, who was waiting to welcome her home. Kathy leaves behind a family who will forever cherish her memory: her daughter Diane and son-in-law Wayne; granddaughters Nicole, Alicia and her fiance Jordyn; grandson Matt and Sabrina; great-grandchildren Kayla, Giovanni and their baby sister, who has yet to arrive; her daughter Jacki and son-in-law Rick; grandchildren Andrew and Brianna; her mother Catherine Crockwell; brothers Keith Crockwell, John Crockwell, and Michael Crockwell; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who brought joy to her life. Kathy’s family will hold a celebration of life in the coming months, with details to follow.
