The story of
Kathy passed away leaving a legacy of love, warmth and full bellies. She was born on February 22nd 1966 in Duchesne, Utah, to Bert and Patricia Giles. As the first daughter born after three boys, her arrival brought a new dynamic to the household. Bert and Pat later welcomed 2 more daughters, completing their family of eight. Growing up Kathy discovered her life passion right in the heart of the home cooking alongside her mother, this love for feeding others blossomed and stayed with her throughout her life. After graduating from high school, Kathy moved to Salt Lake City where she worked as a cook and started her own family. She truly loved cooking for people pouring her heart into every meal she prepared. Outside of the kitchen, she was happiest out in nature camping and fishing with her family. Kathy's proudest achievements was raising her four children: Robert, Paul, Ashton and Canessa. Her children will forever cherish her memory of the Mother who never turned down a moment of affection- always saying yes to "one more hug, one more kiss," or a silly joke to brighten the day. Though her time was cut short, Kathy's impact on her family and community will echo for generations. Kathy leaves behind her beloved children Robert, Paul, Ashton, and Canessa ;and her five cherished grandchildren, Destiny, Elizabeth, Rycker, Bexley and Tytus. Shes proceeded in death by her Father Bert Giles, Brother Ricky Giles, Nephew Austin Sheppard, and Grandson Eil Hull. A memorial service to celebrate Kathy's life will be held on August 8th 2026 @ 1:00pm at the LDS church 455 E 200 S, Pleasant Grove, UT 84062
