Kathy left us to be with the Lord on May 5, 2025. She was born in Los Angeles on December 31, 1949, to Charles and Jane (Patty) Blondel. She is survived by her three siblings: Ron, Judy and John. Kathy led a very happy, active life filled with family, friends, her beloved dogs and many activities, such as: singing in the Raincross Master Chorale, St. Patrick's Choir, Elks Lodge member, traveling, gardening spending time with family and friends. She graduated from Santa Ana Valley High School and married Larry Alan Megard Sr., and they had three children: Teri, Alan and Patty. Who produced eight grandchildren: Priscilla, Alyssa, Chaz, Zach, Zane, Zoey, Tori and Peyton. She also was so happy to have three great grandchildren: Keira, Logan and Maliha. Later in life she married her second husband Gregory Chapman. There are numerous nephews, nieces and cousins whom she adored. She is preceded in death by her grandfather Pop, grandmother Janey Mom, her father Charles, her mother Jane (Patty), son-in-law Mike and her husband’s Larry and Greg. Kathy started her career at the University of California Riverside in the Printing and Reprographics Department where she promoted to a management position. She retired and was also part of the Retiree’s Association. Kathy had so many friends, to many to list, most which were lifelong friends who she enjoyed traveling with and spending time. She is loved by so many and will be greatly missed. Please join us in remembering and celebrating the life of Kathy Blondel. A catholic memorial service will be held on June 13th from 1:30 to 2:30 at St. Patrick's church located at 10915 Pigeon Pass Rd. Moreno Valley CA 92557. Members of the Raincross Master Chorale are graciously volunteering to perform. A Celebration of Life will follow from 400 p.m. to 800 p.m. at The Elks Lodge located at 12125 Day St. #V205, Moreno Valley CA 92557(the front door is a little hard to find it's just behind the natural gas tanks). A BBQ dinner will be served, and we will honor her love for music by playing her favorite songs. Please be ready to share your funny and happy memories. Only happy tears will be allowed.
