Born in Chicago, Illinois, on January 14, 1949, Kathleen was the second of six siblings including Steve, Terry, Patti, Chuck, and the late Bonnie Charleston. Kathleen is survived by her three loving sons, Edwin James Gilbert West, David Eugene West, and Clayton Philip West. Each of them will remember their mother for her many passions and unique spirit. A longtime resident of Mesa, Kathleen was known for her love of Bingo, an activity that brought her joy and companionship. She was a talented poet, using her words to touch the hearts of those around her. Her handmade gifts were a testament to her creativity, thoughtfulness, and generosity, cherished keepsakes for their recipients. Kathleen was a unique soul who left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege to know her. She had a zest for life, evident in her love for a good margarita and her enjoyment of her favorite television shows. Her family and friends will remember Kathleen for her warmth, her sparkle, and the love she so freely gave. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her spirit will live on in the memories she created and the love she shared. A celebration of Kathleen's life will be held in the coming days.
