Kathleen Anne Reilly of Lakewood, CO passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at Rocky Mountain Assisted Living, marking the end of a five plus year struggle with dementia. Her loving son, Will, attended to her at the end. Kathy was born on February 25, 1950 making her the seventh of eleven children (five boys and six girls) born to Bernard J. and Eileen (Baird) Reilly of Rutland, VT. Kathy attended Mount St. Joseph Academy in Rutland, graduating in 1968. Next, she attended Albany Medical Center School for Nursing in Albany, NY, graduating in 1971 with her nursing diploma. After nursing school, she lived in upstate New York in Bloomingdale then Saranac Lake before settling down in Guilderland for a few decades to raise her two children who were born in 1977 and 1978. Kathy was a hard worker whose career was spent caring for others as a registered nurse. She worked at Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home in Albany, NY for several years before finishing out the final few decades of her career working for the Visiting Nurses Association in both Albany and Saratoga counties. She retired in 2014 then decided to move to Colorado in 2015 to be closer to her grandchildren and to help care for them. Kathy loved shopping, gardening, pizza, and chocolate. She loved music, some favorites being Neil Diamond, Queen, and The Beatles. She was a huge fan of science fiction, known to be both a Trekkie and a Whovian. She enjoyed reading and watching true crime and mysteries, her favorite authors included Stephen King and Harlan Coben. In her later years she preferred action movies, especially anything starring Jason Statham or Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, as well as cuddling with her chihuahua, Pearl. Kathy is survived by her two children, William H. Hall & wife Julie of Golden, CO and JoLaine E. Hall & fiancée Arizona Hanson of Chelsea, MA; two grandchildren, Evolee A. & Trevor J. Hall of Golden, CO; three brothers: Bernard J. Reilly Jr. (Rosemary), of Chadds Ford, PA, John T. Reilly (Laura), of Roswell, GA, and Stephen G. Reilly (Libby), of Bomoseen, VT; five sisters: Sandra E. Jarrosiak, of Arroyo, CA, Lorraine F. DeNicola (Richard), of Hamden, CT, Mary E. Sears, of Aneta, ND, Patricia O. Cupoli (Lawrence), of Rutland,VT, and Maureen Billings (Jeffrey), of Mendon, VT; 29 nieces and nephews; many grandnieces and grandnephews; and her beloved dog, Pearl, who now lives with her daughter. She was predeceased by her parents and 2 brothers, Brian J. Reilly of Myrtle Beach, SC and Michael P. Reilly of Rutland, VT. Kathy did not want a funeral, so no formal services will be held.
