The story of Karen
Karen Ann Barcello, age 75, of Phoenix , AZ went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on February 13, 2022. She passed in peace at home wirh her loving sister, Patty May by her side. Karen, also known as "Barney" to her family, had a fun-loving personality, she brought so much joy and laughter to the family, especially with her crazy shenanigans. Karen was born in Detroit, MI December 21, 1946, to Marguerite Rose Burke Brownlee and Norman Glenn Kenneth Brownlee. She moved to Phoenix with her family as a young child. Karen was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and aunt. Karen lived life to the fullest every day and brought so much joy and laughter to everyone she was around. Karen was a true fighter and warrior. She never had a problem voicing her opinion and was always there when needed. Karen was a cancer survivor many times over and battled with it for many years with grace, dignity, and determination, never giving up or complaining. Karen was preceeded in death by her loving parents and an older brother Norman Glenn Kenneth Brownlee Jr. Karen is survived by sons Eric and Shawn Barcello, grandchildren Saric, Mia, and Taylor Barcello. Sister Patty May.nephew Curtis May, niece Tina May, great nieces Kirsti May and Paige Carberry and a great, great nephew Greyson May. "Barney" was deeply loved by her family and friends and will be sincerely missed. Karen's family will be having a celebration of life for on March 26th at 2 pm. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the lord forever. ~Psalm 23;6 NKJV
