The story of
In the early morning of May 23rd, 2025, our beloved mother and grandmother, Juanita Mario joined the angels in heaven. Juanita was born on July 7th, 1935 in Lafayette, Colorado which is also where she built her life and grew her family. She was a very proud mother of eight children, a grandmother to fourteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. She made a career out of bartending and if she ever served you a drink, you likely became a life long friend. She was always active in the community and found joy in being a social butterfly. This wonderful woman made her mark on many hearts and will be remembered by her generosity, dedication and contagious smile. She will be greatly missed, but we will always have our memories to hold onto to. She was proceeded by her late husband Jim Marino, mother Marie Eichorn, sister Ethel Melton, stepson David Marino and granddaughter Shauna Wood. She is survived by her sister Loretta Aramaic children Tina Wood, David Wood, Doug Wood, Loretta O’Reily, Gina Lehman, Don Wood, Ed Wood, Tanya Reinholdt and Sheri Gargano. It was Juanita’s wish to be cremated and laid to rest near family in the Lafayette cemetery. Services will be held for the family and close friends at a later date.
