Joseph Mendoza Saenz, JJ or Jose Jr., 81 years of age passed away on March 27th 2026. He died due to cardiac arrest at the Gilbert Mercy Hospital. JJ was born in Globe, Arizona on February 21, 1945. He attended South Mountain High School and was an army veteran. JJ was a musician all his life and play with The Majestics, Poker, XTC, and My Brother’s Band. JJ loved music. In 1965, his band, The Majestics competed and won The Battle of The Bands which earned the opening to the Sony and Cher concert performance. He was 2 years old when He sang his first song. JJ toured many states as a musician and when he started serving the LORD, his ministry took him abroad to England and Mexico.
He was also artistic and drew awesome pictures. If that wasn’t enough, JJ was also a great cook. Many enjoyed his creations; especially those made of leftovers. For seventeen years, JJ served in minister with his son, Dr. Joseph Kern; who serves as the founding pastor of Radiant Life Church.
JJ was always joking and made people laugh with his sense of humor, his comical voices and his infamous Donald Duck impression. JJ is survived by his son Joseph R. Kern, his daughter Denise Kern, 7 seven grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, his sister Sylvia Villaverde, and his brother Raymond Saenz. He was predeceased by his mother Elodia M. Saenz, his Father Jose Saenz, and his brother Rudy Saenz.
