The story of
Joseph Gabriel Martinez June 28, 1999 – September 17, 2025 With heavy hearts, we announce that our beloved son, brother, husband, father, and friend, Joseph Gabriel Martinez, left this world and went to heaven on September 17, 2025, at the age of 26. Joseph was born on June 28, 1999, in Phoenix, Arizona. He was a hardworking, creative, brilliant, hilarious, and loving man who brought joy to everyone around him and cared deeply for his family and friends. He was full of life and had a way of brightening every moment with his humor and presence. A man with a green thumb, he loved tending to his plants and nurturing those around him. Above all, he cherished his family and poured his heart into being a loving husband, father, son, and brother. Joseph is survived by his loving wife, Brianne Martinez, and their two sons, Hunter Martinez and Roman Martinez, who were his greatest pride and joy. He is also survived by his mother, Susanne Byrd; his sisters, Mariah Byrd and Selinda Martinez; and many other family members and friends who will hold his memory close forever. Though his time here was far too short, Joseph’s impact was immeasurable. His laughter, love, and the life he built with his family will continue to inspire and comfort all who were blessed to know him. A Celebration of Life honoring Joseph will be held on October 4, 2025, at Pure Heart Church. All who knew and loved him are invited to gather in remembrance and honor of his beautiful life. One of Joseph’s favorite scriptures, tattooed on his side, was Philippians 4:12–13: “I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.”
