The story of
John Lee Foster, 75 John Lee Foster, a talented musician and artist, passed away on August 23, 2025, in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, at the age of 75. He was born on August 5, 1950, in York, Nebraska, to John Lee Foster, Jr. and Doris Virginia Hunter. John led a truly colorful life, filled with a deep love for music and art. A gifted musician, he played the steel guitar and many other types of guitars. His creativity extended beyond music to his artwork, where he combined his skills as a talented welder and a painter. He was known for his unique pieces, including hand-painted aspen branches and intricate metal plant hangers. For more than two decades, he built and ran a successful business from the ground up alongside a close friend. Above all, John cherished his daughter, E. Kathryn Aitken, and was her devoted father. He brought her along on many of his life's adventures, and their bond was unbreakable. He is survived by his daughter; his beloved grandchildren, Abby, Xavier, and Logan; and his two sisters, Shirley and Patty. After many years of battling alcoholism, John was diagnosed with Wernicke-Korsakoff syndrome, and ultimately, it was cancer that ended his beautiful life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in John's name to The Brain Charity through his memorial page at https://john-foster-1950-2025.muchloved.com/.
