The story of
John Clarence Skidmore was born on November 16th, 1961 in Columbus, Ohio to Ernest Earl Skidmore and Evelyn Jean Cummings. Youngest of 6 children, he had two brothers Lee and Larry, and three sisters Joyce Ann, Norma Jean, and Sondra Jo. John would meet Pamela Wilkerson in 1980. They married in July of 1981 and have three children together; Evelyn, Jennifer and Timothy. They separated in 1989 and then divorced many years later. In September 1997, John welcomed another daughter Saundra Jo, named after his sister. Due to life circumstances, her name is now Abigail. John was a man who loved Harley Davidson motorcycles, collecting coins and knives, inappropriate humor, and Marijuana. His laugh was infectious, his eyes alight with mischief, and his hugs genuine. John passed away at his home in Portland, Oregon on September 9th, 2023. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, brother Larry, and sisters Saundra Jo and Norma Jean. He is survived by his children and grandchildren: Evelyn (son Justin), Jennifer (husband Keith, daughters Christiane, Jo-Lynn, and Freyja, and son Michael), Timothy (wife Crystal, daughter Alexis, and sons Monty, Jayden, and Titus), and Abigail (son Ariius, daughter Nova). He is also survived by his brother Lee and sister Joyce Ann, numerous nieces and nephews, and ex-wife Pamela Chandler.
