John served in the United States Air Force and later worked as a sheriff’s deputy for Salt Lake County. He lived his life with grit and a stubborn sense of humor, often reminding those around him, “Life’s hard. Wear a helmet.”
His story wasn’t simple, but neither is grief. What remains is the family he leaves behind, strong, complicated, and bound together in ways he helped shape.
His life was complicated. But from it came six strong children who built families, found healing, and grew in resilience. That, more than anything, is the legacy that endures.
A private service will be held. The family appreciates your support and understanding during this time.
