Jo Anne Walker, 74, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away in September 2026. Born in April 1952 to Alta and Jerald LaVelle, Jo grew up with a deep appreciation for God's canvas/the great outdoors. She graduated from Gresham High School and attended Mt. Hood Community College before dedicating 35 years of her life as a skilled bookkeeper. In 1974, she married her beloved husband, David Walker, and together they built a beautiful life filled with love and devotion, welcoming their daughter in 1976. Jo was a woman who truly thrived in the sunshine. A master of yardwork, she took immense pride in keeping an immaculate lawn and garden. She inherited a love for camping and fishing from her father, always happiest when she was out exploring nature. Jo truly loved the beach, where she was a true treasure hunter at heart—happily spending hours searching for seashells, pretty rocks, and driftwood. She also possessed a wonderful creative spirit; she loved anything crafty and was eagerly learning the art of chalk sketching. On afternoon drives, there was no stopping her when she spotted a yard sale or a thrift store, where hunting for hidden treasures always made her day brighter. Jo is survived by her devoted husband, Dave Walker; her daughter, Chelsea White; her three cherished grandchildren, Keaton White, Andrew White, and Shaylynn Travers; and her precious great-grandson, Liam Travers. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alta and Jerald. Jo's legacy of unwavering faith, deep love for our Heavenly Father, quiet strength, creativity, and vibrant joy lives through her beautiful family.
