While our hearts are heavy with grief, they are also filled with gratitude for the love, laughter, and memories she gave to all who knew her. Jennifer and I met in a way that neither of us could have imagined. I had stopped by the home of her cousin’s good friend, Roy Cummings, to help him with some household chores, as I was his CNA. As I walked up to the sliding glass door and reached to open it, Jennifer was standing on the other side. With a smile and a playful spirit, she said, “You’re not coming in.” I pulled on the door and jokingly replied, “Move out the way, girl!” We playfully went back and forth all the way to Roy’s bedroom, laughing and teasing each other. That unforgettable moment marked the beginning of a beautiful love story—one that would grow into a lifetime of love, friendship, and marriage. Jennifer had a spirit that could brighten any room. Her warmth, sense of humor, strength, and loving heart touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. She loved deeply, laughed freely, and gave of herself without hesitation. As a wife, she was my partner, my confidante, my greatest supporter, and my best friend. Though Jennifer is no longer with us in body, her love will continue to live in our hearts forever. The memories we created together will remain a source of comfort, reminding us that true love never fades. Today, as we celebrate Jennifer’s life, let us remember not only the sadness of our loss but also the joy she brought into our lives. May we honor her by sharing stories, laughter, and love, just as she would have wanted. Jennifer, thank you for every smile, every laugh, every lesson, and every precious moment we shared.
