In Loving Memory of Jeffrey Theodor Bozem
[August 16,1956] – [April 30, 2025]
Jeffrey Bozem, a business owner, loving father, and beloved friend passed away in his sleep on April 30th at the age of 68. Born and raised in Los Angeles, he came of age during the 1960s, embodying the dynamic spirit and cultural energy of the era. A lover of adventure from a young age, his early years in Laurel Canyon gradually gave way to a deep immersion in the underground punk culture that shaped him. His young adulthood was split between promoting shows or helping produce rock videos and scuba diving off the coasts of California, Hawaii, and Tahiti.
Later in life, he turned his focus to a different pursuit, founding an electrical company that would carry its own significance. Grounded in the quality craftsmanship and hard work he’d learned from his father’s own electrical business, he built a loyal customer-base over his decades of service. From the vibrant world of rock videos to the fast-paced construction industry, he brought a boundless energy and zest for life that left a mark wherever he went.
However his proudest undertaking was being a family man. He was a dedicated son and devoted father, caring for his son and parents throughout their medical battles, spending long hours cleaning up bloody noses and ensuring his family’s comfort. In his later years, he survived Hepatitis, falls from storage containers, near crashes into trains, and cancer during the Pandemic. He beat life’s many challenges and left those around him with an appreciation for all of its moments, even the less pleasant ones.
He is survived by his children Grant Bozem and Ava Bozem, his mom Peggy Bozem, his sister Frankie Bozem, and friends from all corners of the world. In his life he was always there with a story that he shouldn’t repeat but which was too good not too. He lived and loved loudly, fully, and without apology. He spent his days on his own terms, filled with rock music, late nights with loved ones, warm days in the ocean, and loud, bellowing laughs.
