The story of Jeffery
Jeffery Lynn Haight passed away unexpectedly on March 15, 2023 at the young age of 67. He leaves behind four sons Steve, Michael, JC and Andrew, his mother Claire Haight, his father Jim Haight, his sister Jill Haight, and his two brothers Jim and John Haight. He will be laid to rest at the Prescott National Cemetery and will be honored along other recently deceased veterans on a date to be determined. From a young age Jeff showed a fascination for WW1 aircrafts, music and academics. He worked several jobs as a teenager including working on a “puker” boat at 14, and later as a bass guitarist and backup vocalist for a local band. He graduated a year early from high school with honors. After being discharged from the Navy, Jeff starred as John Denver’s famous character Dillard Nations in the Prescott Theater Groups production of “FoxFire”. Jeff continued his passion for music, sharing his amazing guitar skills and vocal ability wherever he could, holding residencies at several bars throughout his career. He also played music for the Table of Grace Church as their primary musician for several years during his retirement. Despite his struggles and heartbreaks Jeff was a good hearted loving man who’s positivity radiated to everyone around him. You could always tell that he was happy to have you around and that is what we will remember the most about him. We love you Dad, until next time.
