The story of
Hughie Joe Sheppard, age 37, passed away on Sunday January 18, 2026 Hughie lived a life marked by significant health challenges from a very young age. Despite these hardships, he carried a heart that always made room for others. Hughie experienced homelessness and lived unsheltered—a reality that did not define him, but shaped his journey. To those who did not know him, Hughie was often misunderstood. To those who truly knew him and loved him he was a kind-hearted soul who consistently put the needs and feelings of others before his own. He had a way of caring about those of us he held close, even when life had not always been kind to him. Hughie is deeply loved and will be remembered by all his siblings and extended family and all who took the time to know his heart. His life reminds us that compassion, empathy, and humanity are not measured by circumstance. Hughie would not want his siblings or family to carry sadness or despair. He would want them to hold their heads up, to find moments of happiness, and to live with love in their hearts until they meet again. Hughie has been welcomed home by his parents Hughie and Nancy Sheppard, who now hold their baby once again. Together, they stand united, watching over and protecting the family they love and cherish each and every one until the day comes to meet again! You may not see him with your eyes, but you will always feel him in your heart. Gone but not forgotten. Arrangements are being handled privately, with cremation services to follow
