Gwendolyn Yvonne Adams, 87, was called home in the late evening hours of July 1st, 2022 in Phoenix, Arizona. There to meet her was her Father, Vernon Hagar, her stepmother Ozella Hagar, her Mother, Zelma Lois Hagar (formerly Gunn), her siblings, Delbert, Connie, and Nedra Beth, her daughter Lisa Adams and her grandson Pattric Proffitt.
She is survived by her brother, Philip Hagar; her daughter, Leslie Davis; her son, Jeff Adams; grandchildren Becky and Christopher Proffitt, Logan Davis, and Courtney Yarco; and great-grandchildren Stormy, Sabrina, Kristen, Jaycob, and Destinee Proffitt; Jacob Breidenbach; Kaiden, Sonora, and Leland Davis; and Eddie and Mikey Yarco.
Born in Jayton, Texas on November 4th, 1934, she moved her family to Phoenix, Arizona in 1962 and raised her children as a working single mother.
She took great pride in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and always enjoyed spending time with them.
She developed a love of sports that she maintained until her passing. She was a die-hard fan of the Arizona Coyotes, Arizona Diamondbacks, and Dallas Cowboys. Additionally, she was a long-time supporter of the US Olympic teams
She will be missed by many.
