Gloria Galindo-Ocasio died peacefully Sunday, March 14, 2021. She was 73. Gloria was born in Tolleson, Arizona, and graduated from Tolleson High School. She moved to Goodyear in 1979 where she coached girls’ softball for many years. She later moved to Phoenix where she lived with her husband, Jose. Gloria was a Medical Interpreter. Over the span of five decades, she worked at the Arizona Bank, Parker Hannifin, Scottsdale Aviation, Honeywell and GoNet. Gloria also sold Avon for more than 30 years. She’s a former board member of the West Valley Hispanic Council and volunteered her time to help coordinate the Career Fair at a Sunnyslope middle school. She is survived by her husband, Jose Ocasio and his family; son, Paul Lopez; daughter, Suzanne Medina; son-in-law, Troy Davis; grandchildren, Sienna Medina; Alicia Glover and her husband, Jason Glover; Savannah Davis, Jasmine Davis and Myah Carrico-Davis; great-grandchildren, Emma and Arley Glover; sister, Joanne Galindo; and brother, Ruben Galindo. Services are private.
