The story of
In loving memory of Gary Douglas Adams. Gary Adams, age 64, of Portland, Oregon passed away on April 7, 2024. He was born on November 17, 1959 in Portland, Oregon. Gary was a devoted family man who took pride in taking care of his family. He was a kind and gentle soul and will be missed and remembered by the many lives he touched. Gary worked as a foreman at D&R Masonry for about 15 years where he was a loved and respected member of the D&R family. He was an excellent instructor in D&R’s apprenticeship program. Gary especially enjoyed having coffee with his supervisor/good friend Jason Brown. Gary loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed basketball and football and was a big fan of the 'Oregon Ducks' and the 'Portland Trailblazers'. He also enjoyed cracking jokes, going to concerts, garage sales, dancing, and Bud Light platinum. HE HATED ONIONS!!! Gary is survived by his wife, Jennifer (Jenni) Adams whom he married in 2001 and their children; Justin, Joshua, Bre’Anna, Haylie, Jacob, Zachary, Kenzi and Gabriel. Gary is also survived by his six grandchildren (Landen, Zamiere, Tylen, J’aliyah, Liam, and Graysen), Mother-in-law, Debra Miller, Stepmom, Jo Ann Adams, stepsister, Janet Tolman, his siblings and their spouses Janet (Stan) Barlow, Darla O’Kane (Rich), Alan (Marlene) Adams, Carrie Adams and Joni (Wayne) Johnson and numerous nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his father Darrel Adams, mother Josie Biggar, his son Jason Manuel Fullerton-Adams, his good friend Rodney (Rabbit) Anderson, and his brother- and sister-in-law Jason and Miranda Halbrook. A celebration of life will be held on June 22, 2024 from 11:00AM to 2:00PM at Main city Park, 219 S.E. Main Avenue, Gresham, OR 97080. Dress is casual with a green and yellow theme (Ducks) or purple (Gary’s favorite color) for those wanting to participate. If you have any photos or memories to share, you’re welcome to bring them. With Gary’s kind and gentle soul, please consider committing a random act of kindness in his memory.
