Fumio Adachi passed away at the age of seventy-six, surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 6, 1949, in Tokyo, Japan. A graduate of Dokkyo University, he worked for Hanae Mori and Van Jacket before marrying and moving to the United States in 1988. Fumio worked for Hotel Nikko in Chicago and San Francisco, Twelve Oaks Corporate Housing, Arlington Heights, Illinois, and Mayekawa USA, Chicago. Upon retirement, Fumio moved to Peoria, Arizona, in 2019, where he was passionate about building scale model ships and trying new Japanese recipes.
Fumio is survived by his wife of 40 years, Claire, and children, Miki (Cisco) Adachi, Yoshio (Melissa) Adachi, and granddaughter, Ava Victoria Adachi, as well as his brother, Takayuki, in Chiba, Japan. He is preceded in death by his parents, Yozaburo and Fumiko Adachi of Tokyo.
Fumio will be interred at the family cemetery in his beloved Japan.
