The story of
Frederick Angelo Bacchetti passed away peacefully on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 2025 in Woodburn, OR. Fred was born February 22, 1942 to Charles and Shirley Bacchetti. He married the love of his life, Judy Verback, on June 10, 1962. Together for 63 years, they worked hard to raise their 4 children and build a great life in Eureka, CA. Fred worked for the Times Standard Newspaper for 53 years starting out as a delivery boy and retiring as the manager of the composing department. After retirement, they moved to Oregon to be closer to family. In the past 20 years they had many adventures cruising the world 26 times. Fred is survived by his wife, Judy, and his 3 daughters, Kayla Strawser (Robert), Amy Antony (Matt), and Sarah Decelles (Bryan). He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Keith Bacchetti, on November 30, 2020. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Chad and Samantha (Kayla), Ben, Jacob, and Olivia (Amy), Kiara and Kallista (Sarah) and Kristen and Kaleb (Keith). In addition, he is survived by 7 great grandchildren. Fred was preceded in death by his 3 brothers in the past 18 months (Duane, Larry and Bruce) and is survived by his sister, Donna Millsap, and sister-in-law, Mary Bacchetti, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a loving husband and an amazing father and grandfather and will be missed by all who knew him. The family is having a private celebration of his life.
