The story of
Frank “Kiko” Padilla, 87, traveled to the gates of heaven the morning of May 28th, 2026. Born April 13th, 1939 in Grants, New Mexico. He was a loving Father, Husband, Brother, Business Owner, and Tata that fought dementia with courage and a smile to the very end. He was proceeded in death by his wife Isabel Padilla, his son’s Frank and Anthony Padilla, daughter Patricia Padilla, and his great grandchildren Chloe Benson and Josiah Garcia. He is survived by his daughters and son: Lucille, Cecelia, Roberta, Dolores, and Christopher Padilla. For those that knew Kiko, they understood that there was never a dull moment or a room he could not fill with laughter. Frank created an amazing legacy with his late wife Isabel Padilla, and was blessed with 8 children and over 88 grandchildren and great grandchildren. Tata was a sports fanatic, talented gardener, and tale has it, was the best thrifter in the Northland! Beyond charm, Frank embodied true leadership and exemplified family over everything. He spread his love through quality time, wisdom, and presence even if the expectation was improbable. Gratitude was given even when reciprocation was not. Sacrifice was granted, even when the ask was absent. When you see a classic car or even a hot bowl of chili, think of Kiko, and seek his energy. To his friends, neighbors and accomplices, we want to say thank you for all the memories and kind deeds. He will be missed, but the legend of Frank Padilla is carried on by those left behind. Be Proud, Be Padilla.
