November 11, 2021 Francene McMinn - aka - Mom, Gram, and most often called GG came to "snow bird" with her oldest daughter Denee (Booker Tory) Woodard, Jr. in Goodyear, Arizona. Francene was diagnosed with Advanced Alzheimer’s Disease and White Matter disease which required full time 24 hour care. For 25 months (2 years, and 1 month) Francene was surrounded by her immediate family members who live in Arizona, who loved and adored her. On Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at 10:00 am, Francene called out to her daughter Denee, and stated she was not feeling well, and asked Denee if she was going home to be with the Lord. Denee replied “Only God knows the hour he will take you home with him.” Denee asked Francene if she should call the paramedics, Francene stated “NO, CALL ON JESUS.” Francene stated “I am trying to grab the hand of the Lord, he is knocking at the door, I have lost my way, I am trying to get to the door. Can you hear the knocking?” At 10:30 am, Francene took the hand of JESUS and was greeted by her husband of 50 years Glenn Duane McMinn and her granddaughter DeLaina Andrea McMinn. Francene leaves behind her daughters Denee (Tory) and Destene McMinn (Hemet, CA) and her grandchildren Terran Destene McMinn, Jarred Anthony McMinn-Parker, and Donovan Glenn McMinn-Rudell, 6 great grandchildren, and many other extended family members. Funeral Services will not be held, Francene’s life was celebrated while she was living. The last two years of Francene’s life, she traveled to California twice, and to Puerto Penasco (Rocky Point) three times. Francene loved music, and would enjoy listening to live bands, she loved LOUD music and did not mind when the music was turned up loud in the car. A memorial tree has been planted in Coconino National Forest in honor of Francene and her husband Glenn. Francene and Glenn lived in Flagstaff, Arizona since 1979. Francene’s favorite bible scripture she taught to her grandchildren: Oh come let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel down before the Lord our Maker. For He is our GOD, and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His Hand. Today, if you will hear HIS voice. Psalm 95 vs 6-7. (NKJV)
