The story of
Evan Cade Barnett, 21, passed away on January 21st, 2026 in Jacksboro, TX. Evan is survived by his parents, Kristi Dawn and Troy Barnett; his brother, Alec (Rachel) Barnett; his nephews Henry and Hezekiah Barnett; his grandparents, Opal (Robert) Pierce and Joyce Barnett; his aunt, Rachael (Donald) Marvell; and his three cousins, Madaline, Morgan, and Major. Evan was born on December 12th, 2004 in Fort Worth, TX. He attended Northwest High School, Bowie High School, Timberland High School, and graduated with Honors from Texas Virtual Academy at Hallsville where he excelled in track, wrestling, and football. Evan held various employment positions during his vocational career as a landscaper, plumber, and most recently as a welder. Evan was a hard worker with a can-do mindset and put his mind to the things he wished to accomplish. He was passionate about spending time with his friends and family and often enjoyed fishing, working on his truck, reading, memorizing Scripture, and listening to music. He was also a visionary who often wrote and shared exciting initiatives, ideas, and projects with those closest to him. A celebration of life will be held in his honor at 5:30PM at Mercy Culture Church, 1701 Oakhurst Scenic Dr, Fort Worth, TX 76111. The family of Evan asks that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made via Venmo to @Troy-Barnett-21.
