The story of
Erik was a one of a kind unique man. Unfortunately he was misunderstood by most, but anyone who ever got to know him, learned what a good person with a big heart that would help anyone that asked. He would work to make extra money just to turn around and give what he made to a homeless family, then challenge his father to match it. His sense of humor was quirky, but it made him the special person he was. He was more than a big brother to Josh, he was his Superman. He was his father's buddy and his mother's prankster. Erik didn't show his emotions, but if he loved you, you knew it. Erik's only been in my life about 4 years, but it's been an interesting 4 years and I'm proud to have called him son. Erik is survived by his father, Dennis Owens of Bouse AZ, his mother, Kathy Mobley Owens of Columbus Ohio. Brothers Adam Owens of Kansas City and Joshua Owens of Bouse AZ. Several Aunts and Uncles and cousins. Erik you are already so missed!!!! You are gone free from those horrible seizures, but buddy you will never be forgotten. Rest well kid!! "Window licking short bus seat warmer" To hear you say it one more time. ❤️🥺 Special note from Josh: Erik was the kind of guy that anyone would be lucky to have known. He was selfless and patient... It is a disservice that life treated him so unfairly when he approached life with more fairness than it deserved. Erik approached life with a philosophical and calculated perspective and a warm hearted point of view if at all possible. Erik's ashes will be placed in a Potter's field made just for him on our property at a later date
