The story of
Elizabeth Julia Camm Woodlee was as beautiful as her name with a soul to match. While she may have been small in stature, she was mighty in heart, intellect, creativity and mindfulness such that her life left a lasting impact with whomever she encountered. She was fierce in her beliefs, those of women’s rights, civil rights and the rights of all human beings. She will be remembered for her quiet, but bold intelligence. Her gentle caring and empathy towards others. Elizabeth passed away in her home early morning on May 5, 2026. Born in Leeds, England on April 24, 1953, she emigrated to the United States as a young girl to Denver, Colorado where her destiny may have been uncertain, but certainly did await. That destiny turned out to be meeting the love of her life, David Woodlee, a Sheridan High School athlete near her school of Littleton High. Encountering each other led to an endearing relationship that spanned over 53 years, a legacy of love that will continue with her surviving husband and family. Her strength and determination were shown throughout her adult life, raising two children as a military spouse while continuing her quest for knowledge, education and a career. She ultimately earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Regents College and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Colorado. She worked as a protector of women and children of domestic violence and served as a trusted counselor and therapist for those that needed mental health support. Her true passion was her art, expressing creativity through multi-media pieces including painting, collage, drawing, colors and all kinds of crafts. She was a gem to all, in her work and personal life, always caring for others who were in need and engaging in creative expression. She is survived by her sister, Sharney Camm-Hoza. Liz’s endearing legacy of creativity, thoughtfulness and love are continued through her children, Alea Malay Woodlee and Mathew David Woodle. She will be missed by her loving daughter-in-law Christina Heineken Woodlee and the roots of her legacy, history and family continues within her grandson, Noah Mathew Woodlee. The family will be holding a private gathering at a future date and appreciate the love and support that has been shown.
