Eleanor L. (McDonald) Anderson, 80, formerly of Punxsutawney and Slippery Rock, passed away on Monday, Feb. 12, 2024, in Tacoma, Washington. She was born in Dayton on July 19, 1943, to Paul and Violet McDonald. On June 19, 1963, she married William (Bill) Anderson. She and Bill enjoyed taking trips on motorcycles, going to car cruises, camping and spending time with their family. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Bill, of Tacoma, and two sons, Carl (Mary) Anderson of Tacoma and Kevin (Sandy) of Grove City. She helped raise her four nephews, Brian, Greg, DJ and Todd Anderson. She is also survived by two grandsons, Brady Anderson and CJ Anderson; two granddaughters, Jordyn Anderson and Kayla Holmes (Erik); two great-grandsons, Jaxson and William Anderson; numerous nieces and nephews; a brother, Wayne McDonald (Tracy); a sister, Ada Mae (Red) Curry; a brother-in-law, Jim (Nancy) Anderson; and a sister-in-law, Donna (Joe) Sutton. She was preceded in death by her parents; her in-laws, Bud and Irene Anderson; a brother-in-law, Robert Anderson; and a niece, Kimberly Anderson. Her ashes will be buried at McClure Cemetery in Big Run at a later date.
