The story of
Edwin “Ed” C. Stoddard was born in Oceanside, CA to Catherine and Ronald Stoddard on November 21, 1961. A few short years later Ed and his two sisters Debra Stoddard and Rhonda Spivey, along with their parents moved and settled in North Ogden, UT. Edwin passed away peacefully, on October 18, 2023, surrounded by family. Eight years to the date of his beloved mother. Ed was born a natural tinkerer. He would “fix” anything he could get his hands on, clocks and computers especially. He had a love for the great outdoors. We have many memories of camping and floating in the rivers in Utah. He made a career in landscaping and irrigation and was very proud and thankful for the opportunities it provided. He loved music and blared his favorites any chance he got. Fell asleep to cooking shows on the weekends and was always whistling and shaking his foot. Family dinners were something he cherished, he could make a mean Chili Verde and not one family gathering went without cinnamon bears for everyone to enjoy. Ed was an organ donor recipient in 2007, he was both honored and gracious to have received such a wonderful gift. Ed was a momma's boy through and through and was also very close to his stepfather John Smith. He was an immensely proud father to three children Cassandra Stoddard, Andrea (Scotty) Gray, and Ronald Stoddard. He was blessed with four grandchildren Jade, Skyley, Alyk, and Xander. They will always remember the many lunch and ice cream dates they shared. Ed will be cremated, and to fulfill his wishes we will hold a celebration of life this summer. Instead of flowers, we ask you to donate to Valley Camp, in Eden, Utah. His family is very grateful to the many medical professionals and the extra years they provided.
