Donna Marlene Christopherson (née Fenner), 88, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2026, in San Tan Valley, Arizona. Born on December 8, 1937, in Winona, Minnesota, Donna lived a life filled with faith, love, and devotion to her family and community.
Donna shared nearly 64 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Donald, who preceded her in death. Together, they built a life centered on faith and family. She is survived by her children: Valerie McCoy (Philip), Melanie Cummings (Mark), Teri Christensen (Irving), JoLynda Mills, Barry Christopherson (Darlene), Amy Cole (Tim), and Erik Christopherson (Missy). Her legacy also includes 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren who will carry forward the love and values she instilled in them. She was also preceded in death by two of her grandchildren.
Donna’s unwavering faith in the Lord was the cornerstone of her life. She walked faithfully with Him and lived as a reflection of His love. Her deep spiritual connection brought comfort to those around her and continues to inspire all who knew her. Now resting in the arms of the Lord she cherished so deeply, Donna’s memory will remain a source of strength for her loved ones.
Throughout her life, Donna embraced a variety of roles with grace and determination. She was a devoted mother and homemaker but also pursued careers as a candy maker, accountant, truck driver, and camp host. In retirement, she dedicated herself to volunteering at various organizations, always seeking ways to give back to others.
Donna had a zest for life that shone brightly in everything she did. She especially enjoyed playing cards and games with family and friends. Her competitive spirit and love of a good challenge made every gathering lively and memorable. Laughter often filled the room as she engaged in playful banter during these cherished moments.
After being diagnosed with leukemia, Donna faced her journey with remarkable courage and gratitude. She embraced each day as a gift and prioritized spending time with friends and family. Her pragmatic approach to life’s challenges was an inspiration to all who knew her.
Donna will be deeply missed by those whose lives she touched. Her strong faith, loving heart, and joyful spirit leave an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to have known her. As we mourn her passing, we take comfort in knowing she is now at peace and reunited with our Lord.
In honor of Donna’s life, her family encourages others to share kindness, love, and faith with those around them—values that defined her beautiful journey on this earth. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her. A Funeral Service will be held on August 4, 2026, at 11:30 AM at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 108 S Fremont St, Lewiston,MN. Lunch will be served following the services and internment. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local food bank.
