The story of
Donald B. Brown, 89 of Erie CO died in the early hours of March25,2025 peacefully at his home. Don was born November 1st 1935 in Auburn New York the son of J. Bruce Brown and Dorthy (Mackinzie) Brown. Don Graduated from LaSierra College and Loma Linda University School of Medicine. Completed his residency in Anesthesiology at LA County and the White Memorial Hospital. Don practiced in Sacramento, Then moved his family to Boulder CO in 1975 and continued to practice anesthesia until December 2014. Don Married Cindy L. (Roate) Brown on January 31, 1986 in Boulder CO. Don is survived by his wife Cindy, sisters Judith (Brown) Pedersen, Terry Pedersen and Sandi (Brown) May of California. Also survived by 3 children Ginger Easley of Minden, NV, Michael (Amy) Brown of Highland, CA, Jennifer ( Rene) Chavarria of Erie, CO. 3 Grandchildren Brandon Easley, Jacqui Brown, and Braeden Brown. One Sister-in-law Carla ( Ben) Burgland of Galesburg IL. Don was preceded in death by his father and mother and brothers Robert and Malcom, father-in-law Howard Roate and Mother-in-law Phyllis Roate. Don served as a captain in the US Army from August 1966 until February 1969, and was active duty in Vietnam from June 1967-June 1968. Don’s hobbies included high altitude climbing, hiking, marathon running, Nordic skiing, fast pitch softball and cycling. His favorite past time was traveling and history. Cremations has been accorded. A Celebration of Life servicers will held at 2pm May 3rd 2025 at the Boulder Seventh Day Adventist Church. 345 Mapleton Ave Boulder, CO Donations can be made to A peaceful journey hospice www.apeacefuljourneyhospice.com
