The story of
It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Dion Landon Watkins. Dion passed away on June 21, 2026, in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the age of 51. He was born on April 14, 1975, in Landover, Maryland. Dion lived a life filled with laughter, kindness, and an unforgettable sense of humor. He had a gift for making people smile, and anyone who had the privilege of meeting him couldn’t help but love him. His warmth, generosity, and lighthearted spirit left a lasting impression on everyone around him. For more than 20 years, Dion proudly served his community through food service, where he found joy in caring for others. Beyond his work, he loved spending time playing video games with his friends and creating cherished memories with his two daughters, Devon and Tatum, who were the greatest joys of his life. Dion is survived by his loving daughters, Devon Watkins and Tatum Watkins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Hirondina Marie Mercille, and his brother, Philip. We take comfort in knowing they are reunited, and we pray they all rest in eternal peace. A private Celebration of Life is currently being planned. Those wishing to attend or seeking additional information are kindly asked to reach out to Tatum Watkins. Though our hearts are broken, we will forever carry Dion’s laughter, love, and memories with us. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
