The story of
David Swenson Fillmore, age 78, died Thursday, October 12, 2023 in Surprise, Arizona. He was born August 17, 1945 in Spanish Fork, Utah to Curtis Fillmore and Maretta Swenson Fillmore. He was the second of seven children. David graduated from Spanish Fork High School in 1963. He attended the College of Southern Utah for one year. He served in the Army National Guard for two years. David worked in the shoe business his whole career, being a sales representative, managing and owning several SAS shoe stores. Dave enjoyed hunting and golfing and was very good at both! He had a fun personality and was always the life of the party! He was loved by everyone and will be missed. Dave has two children; a daughter Stacey with his wife of ten years to Jackie Daniels and a son, Daniel Kirk (Danny) with is wife of twenty six years to Kris Wooten. Dave married his sweetheart Myrna Watson in 2008. She had seven children, and he loved them like his own. They enjoyed traveling together and went on several cruises. Dave was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. David was preceded in death by his parents, his brother George A. Fillmore, a sister in law Phyllis Fillmore, a step son Mike Watson and his beloved dog Chien. He is survived by his children Stacey (Rob) Measom, Dan (Jen) Fillmore. His step children Kim (Jon Ramey, Robin (Alan) Watkins, Kyle (Mitsuko) Watson, Jodi (Matt) Bogust, Brandon Watson and Kellie (Shay) Watson. He has 21 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Curtis D. Fillmore, Linda Fillmore, Ann (Ralph) Ward, Paul R. (Alison) Fillmore, Blake L. (Debbie) Fillmore and Kathy (Alan) Larsen
