The story of
Danie Lee Robillard passed away September 12,2026, at his home in Palm Desert, CA. Danie was born on December 28, 1937 to Philip and Inga Robillard in Los Angeles, CA. He was the youngest of 5 children, 2 brothers, Philip and Lowell and 2 sisters, LaDonna and Penny. The family moved to Granada Hills, CA in 1945. In 1956 he met his future bride, Deanna Mantell, they married in 1960 and were married for 57 years until she passed away in 2017. Danie bought a Spudnut Shop on the corner of Balboa and Chatsworth in 1957 and stayed in the bakery business for many years before he changed careers; becoming a painting contractor, until he retired in 2002. Danie loved cars from a very young age and continued that passion throughout his life. He loved going to church on Sunday and being in prayer everyday. During retirement he found a love for writing and journaling; so, he wrote a book! "Sense and Nonsense" which perfectly summed Danie up. He was the ultimate joke and storyteller. But, the most obvious thing about Danie was his love for life and people. Quote from his book; "It all starts with Love, give it freely, you'll feel better and it's cheap. Now, I don't expect the whole world to embrace me, and that's alright, but I'm going to embrace them whether they want me to or not; receive it gracefully, it won't hurt, I promise!" Danie is survived by his children: daughters, LeeAnn and Natalie, his son-in-law, David, his son, Tony and daughter-in-law, Konne, his nephew, Ralph and niece, Candice. 5 grandchildren: Jennifer, Jordan, Britney, Rocky and Allicia. 9 great-grandchildren: Bay, Calia, Ariana, Rory, Morgan, Cassandra, Nina, Escher and Desmond. Danie's parents and siblings all preceded him in death, but we are sure they are all together again, along with his loving wife Deanna and our Lord, Jesus Christ.
