The story of
Daniel Scott Greeno of Arvada, CO, passed away on September 17, 2024, at the age of 66 from a painful two-year battle with Multiple Myeloma. Danny is survived by his mother, Marlene; his children, Christina and Nick; his two grandchildren, Raegan and Lincoln; his brothers; Mike, Pat, Dennis, Gene, and George. While we lost our most beloved dad, many have lost a friend and loved one in him. He was known as a gentle and laid-back man to many, a master at sarcastic humor and witty timing to others. There was so much more to him than just dad, though to us that was his greatest role - he was also a friend, a cousin, brother, uncle, stand-in paternal figure to many, a handyman, fisherman, a camping buddy, cribbage master, the list goes on and on. He made many friends along the way, he was just the kind of person who drew people in. He had a great impact on many, and no matter what happened between you in your lives, once you were marked as important to him, he'd be by your side if you needed him. Being a grandpa (papa) came naturally to Danny. His grandkids loved his hugs and stories he told of his adventures in his life. Danny loved the outdoors, observing nature, camping, and fishing most. His greatest memories were camping with his family and friends; dancing by the fire, howling at the moon, playing the flashlight game with the kids, waking up early listening to the wildlife all around, and sitting by the fire drinking his coffee. He worshipped the fishing gods and spent as much time as he could with his fishing pole in the water. He never lost his childlike spirit and love for life. His family wishes to extend a special thanks to the dedicated staff of the Red Rocks Cancer Center and Hospice Care facility, specifically Dr. Log, Suzie, and Amanda who helped navigate his disease for the last two years and all the way to the end of his life. He will be missed but will live on in our hearts through our memories. He joins his brother Tim; his uncle Bill; and many others, but most of all he has been reunited with his beloved dogs Sammy, Bodie, Ruff, and Muddy, in the eternal afterlife.
