The story of
Craig Anthony Gladeau was born on December 3, 1962 in Forsyth, Montana, and died peacefully of natural causes in his home in Denver, Colorado on December 21, 2023. He graduated from Helena High School in 1982. He served in the 101st Airborne division while on active duty, as an E4, from October 1983 to October 1985. He was honourably discharged in 1989. He received an Army Service ribbon, Good Service Medal, an expert badge for an M16 rifle, an expert badge for a hood grenade, a multinational forces observers medal, an air assault badge, an expert infantryman badge, and an army achievement medal. He graduated from the Art Institute of Colorado in 1993 with an AA in Visual Communications. He was a few courses short of a BS in Marketing at Colorado State University Global. He was a marketing professional and graphics designer until his passing. Craig attained the rank of 5th degree Black Belt, Associate Master level, in Kung Fu and was an active volunteer for The One Club of Creativity Denver. When he wasn't working on his career ambitions, he was admiring art, enjoying music, or exploring the great outdoors with friends. He was passionate about excellence, learning new things, having new experiences, and building new relationships. He valued fairness, honesty, community, and life learning. He was a caring man who made a difference in people's lives and in his community. He made us feel like the most important person in the room, valued and loved. Everyone who knew Craig remembers his kindness, vision, and humour. Craig was a beloved son, brother, step-father, uncle, friend, and community member. He was interred with the military honors due to him on July 29, 2024 at Montana State Veteran's Cemetery, Fort Harrison, in Helena, MT. He is survived by his mother and heir, Angelina Wright, his sister, Anna Gladeau Eshbaugh, his brother, Troy Williams, and his nieces and nephew.
