The story of Corliss
Early in the morning of Tuesday, 23rd May 2023, Corie Sanders passed away after a long battle with kidney disease. She was born to William and Laveta Presley on 24th December 1951 in Oroville California. Corie entered the Information Technology industry after graduating Crater High School in 1970 and rose to the top of her field. Starting at Harry and David as a data entry supervisor, she worked for various companies throughout her career including: Dunn and Bradstreet, Ideal Basic Industries, Dillon Corporation, and Software AG. She retired from Software AG as a Senior Program Analyst and Business Manager. Corie was a devoted wife and a loving, supportive stepmother of three since 1975. She led a very happy life filled with many activities, such as singing, playing the guitar, bass, and mandolin. She was especially known for her unique and beautiful harmonies. Corie also enjoyed painting, sewing, quilting, knitting, crocheting, jewelry making, gardening, and gourmet cooking. Corie is preceded in death by her mother, Lillian Laveta; her father, William Robert; her sister, Janice; her brother, William. She is survived by her husband, Thomas; her stepchildren, Tracie and Raechael and James; her brother, Robert. Her legacy will continue through her eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. It was Corie's desire to be cremated and her ashes scattered in her garden along with those of her mother, father, and beloved pets.
