Obituary for Connie Jean Cowen Connie Jean Cowen, 68, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2026, at Sherman Hospice Home. She was born on June 10, 1957, in Madison, Wisconsin. Connie was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She is survived by her two children, Brittany Cowen and Jamie Cowen, and her cherished granddaughter, Chanel Sanchez Cowen. She is also survived by her sisters, Mary Grossman and Jodi Weintraut; her sister-in-law, Phyllis Hendrix; and her brother-in-law, Spencer Hendrix. She leaves behind several nieces and nephews, including Michael Grossman, Sydnee Weintraut, Amanda Hendrix and Paul Burns. Connie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George Cowen; her mother, Eleanor Richart; her father, Robert Kinniburgh; and her two brothers, Randy Kinniburgh and Jeff Richart. Connie had been retired for the past eight years and spent her time enjoying the simple things in life. She loved spending time with her children and granddaughter, going shopping, and going out to eat with family and friends. She will always be remembered for the love she had for her family and the time she cherished with them. Although we know she is in a better place now, she will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her. We hope she has found all of her loved ones waiting for her in heaven.
