Christopher (Chris) Robert Braun, 61, of Litchfield Park, Arizona, passed away on June 27, 2025. He was born on January 12, 1964, in Cheektowaga, New York, to Donald and Sadie Braun. He graduated from Depew High School in Depew, New York.
Chris dedicated his career to Less Than Truckload (LTL) logistics, spending many years at Motor Cargo Industries in a variety of roles—each advancing his position—including driver, dispatcher, supervisor, and operations manager. He later served as operations manager at Central Arizona Freight and terminal manager at UNIS Global Freight Solutions & Logistics Network. Chris was recognized for his excellence with the Supervisor of the Year award in 1995 and Manager of the Year award in 1996 at Motor Cargo Industries.
On January 20, 1984, Chris married the love of his life, Karyle J. Braun, in Phoenix, Arizona. They celebrated their 25th anniversary with a vow renewal, surrounded by family and friends. Together, they raised four children—Travis, Sarah, Michael, and Peter—and ran Braun’s Attitude Ranch, a horse boarding facility in Cave Creek, Arizona, where they welcomed riders and animals alike.
Chris and Karyle shared a love of classic rock music, especially Sammy Hagar. They frequently traveled to Cabo San Lucas to attend Hagar’s annual birthday bash, where they made cherished friendships and lasting memories.
Chris was also a lifelong, diehard fan of Buffalo sports and a dedicated follower of NASCAR driver Bobby Labonte. He never missed a game or a race—cheering passionately from the sidelines.
Chris is survived by his children: Travis R. Braun (Julie) of St. Louis, Missouri; Sarah J. Prechel (Josh) of Willmar, Minnesota; and Michael C. Braun of Phoenix, Arizona. His legacy lives on through his 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Peter Braun; his uncle, Paul Braun; and his brother, David Braun.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 12, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Charley's at the Lakes 19260 N. Westbrook Parkway Peoria, AZ 85382
