Charles D. Kohrs passed away Saturday, February 11th in the early hours of the morning in Phoenix, Arizona. He was 83.
Charlie was born in Los Angeles, California on August 19, 1939. He served a machinist apprenticeship in California until he was enlisted in the Air Force. While stationed at Luke Air Force Base in Arizona, he met and married Judy Chatfield, his wife of 54 years. They stayed in Phoenix to raise their two children, Brian and Kristina. He was a skilled machinist by trade and enjoyed his grandkids, bike riding, golf, sweets and the sunshine; and was never without his manners or his jokes…right up until the end! He will be missed by many but especially the family he left behind; Judy, Brian, his wife Angie, their kids Sammi and Seth and Kristi, her husband Ben and their kids Michael, Charles, and Jane. He is undoubtedly enjoying a reunion with his mom Jennie, dad Charles and sister Gretchen that he missed so much, who preceded him in death.
In the weeks before his passing he had old friends and his family visiting and giving him lots of love. If you wish to pay tribute; hit a golf ball, bask in the sun, savor dessert or take a moment to enjoy the birds or planes in the sky for him. If he saw the outpouring of love and support for him and his family, he would say "Wow!"
