Carmen Morales passed away peacefully at her care home on March 1st, 2023. She was 93.
Born in 1929 in Matanzas Cuba, Mrs. Morales came to the United States in the late 50s where she met and married the love of her life, Orlando Morales, who preceded her in death in 1993.
Carmen is survived by her 3 adult children, Christine, Catherine, and Leonard, and 4 Grandchildren, Robert Emily Vanessa, and Gina, and a number of great-grandchildren as well as 3 great-great-grandchildren.
She lived most of her life in New York where she worked at the Chamber of Commerce in the World Trade Center until she retired and moved to Arizona in 1989, to be near her children.
She was loved by her family and many friends she made in the community during her long walks every morning, to have her coffee and chat with neighbors, feed the birds, and visit with her family.
She is being cared for by After.com funeral services.
A private Celebration of Life Memorial will be held at the Butterfly Wonderland, with a butterfly release event.
We ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to any organization focused on Alzheimer research.
