The story of
With profound sadness we announce the passing of Candace 'Candy' Willer, our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all whose lives she touched on September 2, 2024 surrounded by family. Born in Troy, New York, Candy was raised in Winnetka, Illinois, and was a proud graduate of New Trier High School. Candy grew up on the waters of the North Shore and enjoyed sailing, ice skating, and won many awards for swimming. Some of the most fondest memories during these years were with parents who proceed her in passing, Nancy and Jack Willer. Candy moved to Denver, Colorado after visiting with her sisters in her younger years and falling in love with the mountains. Candy studied biology but preferred crimal law and persued an exciting career as a legal assistant and excelled. However, above all she loved being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was the beloved mother of Jessica, Thomas "Tom", Carrieanne "Carrie", Pablo, Kathleen "Katie", and Maia. She was the proud and loving grandmother to Monique, Christina "Tina", Allison "Ally", JJ jr., Jacob "Jake", Alexander "Alex", Jayden, Jeremiah, Sunny, Jack, Ludovica, and Theo. Candy also had two great grandchildren whom she adored, Filip and Rowan. She lived a full life, with so many kids around it was always a party! Candy was fabulous inside and out, and she was a talented painter with excellent penmenship. She enjoyed her garden and admired the snow. A celebration of life will be held with close family at a future date in Estes Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Judi's House.
