On Sunday, June 22, 2025, Brenda Lee Lemieux completed her life’s journey. She was born in Asbury Township, Gallatin County, Illinois, on August 29, 1940, to George and Edith Downen, and grew up among her siblings Mary, Jim, Helen, and Bill. Brenda graduated from Lincoln Christian College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in May 1963. She was an artist, she loved to oil paint and sew. She worked as a schoolteacher early in her career and later transitioned into marketing and advertising. Brenda is survived by her two children, Nichole and Tony; two grandchildren, Scarlett and Exander; and her sister Mary. At Brenda’s request, a private memorial will be held by her immediate family, followed by the spreading of her ashes. Those who knew Brenda were touched by her strength, love, and kindness. Her angelic presence will be greatly missed and cherished by all that had the privilege of knowing her. John 14:1-3: "Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father's house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am."
