The story of
It is with an extremely heavy heart that we share that our beloved mother, Barbara Skiver, passed away on April 7, 2024 in Green Valley, AZ. This comes after a year and a half long battle with Esophageal cancer. Barb is preceded in death by her mother and father, Carol & Joseph Zwolinski, 2 aunts, Julie Holtyn & Linda Glowski, 1 uncle, Leonard Stinson Jr, and many others. She is survived by her 3 children, whom she loved dearly, Jennifer (Trevor) Thompson, Daniel (Rose) Bossenbery and Steven Skiver along with her siblings, Anne (Dave) Smith, Jean (Joe) Duynslager, Rita Keith and Joe (Kim) Zwolinski. She is also survived by 5 grandkids ('Grands' as she so lovingly referred to them), Timothy, Caraline, Mack, Dylan and Hollis and all of her nieces and nephews. In her spare time she loved hanging out with her friends and family, especially traveling to MI to spend time with her kids and grands, making jewelry and painting decorative rocks. She was also trained in Reiki and Reflexology and shared her passion for that by helping others. She was a free spirit loved by many who will be greatly missed. She will live on in the hearts and memories of all those she touched. While we are incredibly sad we are eternally grateful that she is no longer in pain. A private memorial will be held to celebrate her life in June in her home state of Michigan. "He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." - Revelation 21:4
