Ana Ferko Fabri, age 71, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2025, at her home, lovingly cared for by her devoted husband. Born in Backi Petrovac, in former Yugoslavia, Ana came to America at the age of 20. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Apostolic Studies and became a Licensed Vocational Nurse through St. Luke’s College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Ana dedicated her life to caring for the sick with tireless compassion and a heart full of servitude, always drawn to those who struggled and striving to bring comfort. Her beloved husband, Jan, proposed to her through letters while she was living in America. Together, they built a life rooted in love and faith, raising three children in Dallas, Texas. Her children—Renata, Olivia, and Peter—were her pride and joy. Ana cherished watching them grow and thrive in gymnastics, karate, and synchronized swimming, always encouraging them to believe in themselves. Ana was an active member of her church community and loved the Lord with all her heart. Her life was a testament to God’s grace; she walked boldly in her faith and gave humbly from it. She is survived by her husband Jan; children Renata, Olivia, and Peter; grandchildren Asher, Zoe, Zailey, and Sofia; and her two sisters and brother in Serbia. A private celebration of life will be held on August 2, 2025, at her home church. The family asks for prayers and peaceful love to be shared in her honor. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Church Needs Fund that supported Ana through her journey with end-stage Parkinson’s Disease. Ana lived a life of deep integrity and unwavering faith. Her legacy shines in all those she touched.
